The five pieces of Sivalinga were taken to five different places on earth by Indra, Surya, Chandra, Lord Vishnu and Lord Kumaraswamy. This Linga is one of the five piece brought and installed by Lord Kumaraswamy. It is similar to the temple in Draksharamam, but is also very unique in its own right, such as the linga being white.
