The temple is situated just before the Poonamallee bus stand and few yards from the main road. Poonamallee is around 25 kms from Chennai on Chennai - Bangalore Highways. The temple is behind the Sundar Hospital. |
History
Legend here is Lord Vishnu appeared here in three pose on the request of Thirukachi Nambi. Lord appeared as Varadharaja Perumal as in Kaanchipuram, Ranganathar as in Sri Rangam, and Srinivasa Perumal as in Thirupathi. The Varadharaja Perumal Sannidhi and Pushpavalli Thayar Sannidhi are in opposite direction as they are in the marriage pose. |
