Location

This temple is situated at around 1/2 km from Sivapuri. There is the approach road upto the temple.

Architecture

The Original temple on which the tevaram was sung, was washed off by the Kollidam River. The temple was renovated after that. This is a small temple facing South. The main deity here is in the form of Linga.

History

The Main deity (Linga) is in a rectangular form and is in white in color. There will be a hole at the top of the Linga. Only milk taken for abishekam for "Baanam" (i.e., the top portion) the rest of the abishekam is only for the "aavudai" (i.e., the bottom portion). It is also believed that the water in the well inside the temple was white in color.

Festival

Navarathiri, Sivarathiri and Vinayaga Chaturthi are festivals celebrated here.
