About Hari
As Lord destroys the sins of His devotees, He is called 'Hari'.
He holds the Disc and Lotus in His upper left and right hands, and the Club and Conch in His lower left and right hands.
He is the governing power of the letter 'Da' of the Gayathri Mantra, 'Ap Tattva' — one of the 24 Tattvas — and the Urdhvapundra marked on the left shoulder during the dark half of the lunar month, and Tambula.
He is to be meditated upon at the time of 'Aposana', while offering reverential salutations, circumambulating, and while churning curds.
