He is the Governing power of the  letter 'VI' of Gayathri Mantra, the letter 'Mo' of Mahamantra, 'Ahankara Tattva'  one of the 24 Tattvas and Urdhvapundra marked on the chest during the light half of the lunar month. He is the custodian of the Edibles, 'Mithunarasi' and the lunar month of 'Magha'. He dwells in the "Madhyanaadi". He is to be meditated on at the time of cleaning the teeth.
