About Maadhavaa
As Lord was born in the lineage of Madhu of the Yadhava clan, as He is the consort of Ramadevi, and as He is the Supreme Being, He is called 'Maadhavaa'.
He holds the Disc and Conch in His upper left and right hands, and the Club and Lotus in His lower left and right hands.
He is the governing power of the letter 'VI' of the Gayathri Mantra, the letter 'Mo' of the Mahamantra, 'Ahankara Tattva' — one of the 24 Tattvas — and the Urdhvapundra marked on the chest during the light half of the lunar month. He is the custodian of edibles, 'Mithunarasi' and the lunar month of 'Magha'.
He dwells in the 'Madhyanaadi'. He is to be meditated upon at the time of cleaning the teeth.
