About Madhusudhana
As Lord has destroyed the demon 'Madhu' and bestows happiness upon good people, He is called 'Madhusudana'.
He holds the Conch and Lotus in His upper left and right hands, and the Disc and Club in His lower left and right hands.
He is the governing power of the letter 'Re' of the Gayathri Mantra, the letter 'Va' of the Mahamantra, 'Tvak Tattva' — one of the 24 Tattvas — and the Urdhvapundra marked on the left breast during the light half of the lunar month. He is the custodian of the sweet called 'Mandige', the lunar month of 'Vaisakha' and 'Kanyarasi'.
He dwells in the 'Hastininaadi'.
